What is DPUR?
DPUR (Desire Paths, Untethered Roves) is a bilingual web platform in Japanese and English that showcases original travelogues, chronicle, and short stories.
“Desire Paths” refers to the naturally formed trails, back roads, and animal paths (known as “kemonomichi” in Japanese) created through human and animal movement, while “Untethered Roves” embodies the spirit of unrestricted wandering. DP:UR presents travel stories and narratives inspired by these concepts of natural pathfinding and free exploration.
The Japanese and English travel narratives published on the Traversals 路程篇 page are re-edited and multilingual adaptations of travelogues that writer K serialized in commercial magazines from 2012 to 2022. These are all true travel stories. Only what the writer experienced, saw, and actually happened is written.
The Peripatetics 逍遥篇 page features travel prose (in Japanese and English) written by Riito Shimazu.

DPUR とは？
DPUR（Desire Paths, Untethered Roves） は、オリジナルの紀行（旅行記）、散文、短編小説をアーカイブする、日本語と英語の多言語ウェブメディアです。
“Desire Paths” は自然に形成された人や動物の移動による小道・裏道・獣道（ケモノミチ）を、”Untethered Roves” は制約や管理のない自由な彷徨いを意味します。DP:URは、そんなキーワードにインスパイアされたトラベルストーリーとナラティブをお届けします。
Traversals 路程篇 ページに掲載する日本語と英語の紀行は、ライター K が 2012年から2022年に商業誌に連載した旅行記を、島津りいとが再編集および多言語化したものです。すべて本当の旅の話です。書き手が体験し、見た、実際にあったことだけが書かれています。
Peripatetics 逍遥篇 ページには、島津りいと が執筆する散文（日本語と英語）を公開しています。
